Good morning all, and sorry I was fairly quiet yesterday. I was having one of those days. I'm no different when it comes to feeling the anger we all feel from time to time about how our industry, and our country, is being detrimentally effected by our government...both state and federal. I am of the nature to "time myself out" when I feel I can not be constructive and respectful in my communications with others.

I feel a reminder is needed, and they are from time to time to keep us on track, about our goal towards true unity. We must remember this is a huge goal. We are trying to break down barriers that have been in place keeping us all divided from truly uniting in a manner to succeed in accomplishing anything positive. We all have differing agendas and issues of importance, but in those are the common goal of doing something positive...effecting a change for the better for all Americans.

I'm feeling good about the basic level of respect we are giving others in their right to their opinion being shown, while I was off on my day of restraint...as I like to call it. This will be paramount to succeeding in our endeavor of true unity. To those that have not only made their commitment towards unity by participating in our social community, but becoming active within this community...I want to say thank you. But upon reading all the posts on this groups comment wall, I do feel the need to point out we must identify the need to unite first. Decisions of action must not be premature and should only come out of the input of the whole when the time is right. This is the unique difference between what we have attempted in the past, and what we are trying to accomplish this time around.

Each of us expressing ourselves about issues should be done, and we must remember when expressing them the need to share those opinions carefully. Matt and I have done all we can to ensure this site is open to all for viewing. Our manner of communicating with one another will be demonstrative to all which view them. And in this will be the hope that many will see we have taken a new direction and join with us in our attempts to effect positive change not only in our industry, but our country.

Unity must first be for one basic understanding...acknowledging there is something detrimentally wrong, and something needs to be done. This reason alone must be the purpose we all unite. The actions can then be determined from the input of the whole...and in that will come the success of positive change. Everyone here has made that commitment towards true unity. We don't need to debate within ourselves about uniting, but demonstrate to those not yet committed, which view what we do, to join us.

OVERTIME: I apoligise for my last comment, you are not who i though i was talking to however although irespect what you and fred are trying to do i must comment on a couple of things .
number 1 , you can not shut down or strike against the us goverment , its is in fact against the law and
catamount to treason.
number two. the us goverment is not responsible for all of our problems in fact 90% of our problems are caused by individual states, now those staes you can shut down and get rid of a lot of our problems and in fact would make things a lot easier for all of us driver and owner operator alike.
now as i have told fred i like and support what your trying to do and if it calls for a shut down my ignition turns both way and as a matter of fact it turn off easier then it turns on, but i will not and can not support a shut down against the us goverment that would do more harm then good , it has been tried before and the results were tragic . so give it some thought guys lets do it if we are in fact going to do it the wright way. have a great day. What exactly is FEMA, in terms of its powers, once it is activated?

I know this has nothing to do with trucking? But has ALOT to do with WHY SilverSurfer and I are working so hard to wake asa many people up to this as possible!
Our government will NOT take care of us the way that many people think!

good mourning carrie: although i apreciate your comments and i respect your point of view, i am a truck driver in the trucking business and my comments are for that purpose to give and recieve information about this buisness. Thanks J.R. It is a tragic thing, indeed, when people go to 'sleep' and refuse to keep an eye on government activity. Checked out the vids and have been aware of some of these things for a time.

One bone of contention with "Zeitgeist" - Jesus Christ is not 'religion' and apart from salvation in Him no one will be entering heaven. While it appears Z was attempting to say there is no hope in 'religion' - I could not agree more - there is only hope in the rebirth in Jesus Christ. Period.
